prompt: Guilty as charged but..........
In 1985 there was an emotional case against Mr. Roswell Gilbert. He went to trail for, as they say, killing his wife. As this trail went forth there were plenty of this happening.
The ruling in this case was unthinkable. Yes he was guilty for murder but her only did as his loved on asked. Only if you have walked in their shoes, do you know the feelings and reaction to the situation. His wife was sick and tried of hurting. She wanted to dye with dignity and painless. We will never know his true feelings about helping his wife because his main reason was to honor his wife. in the bible, honor is a word that is used, during a wedding ceremony, as part of the wedding vows.
This situation has three ways of looking at it. Lawfully it was wrong and some say morally it was wrong. His wedding vows, which comes out of the bible, he was Honoring his word to love. They charged him for not breaking the law of love. They didn't consider how he felling afterwards but he broke the law and they say he should be punished. Even after the sentence it doesn't matter because his soul really died the second his wife did.
I can remember there being a doctor death. He was a doctor people went to to take them out of pain. he went to trail and was sentence in jail. After he was released, he said he would not do it any more.

War: Why does it exist
Prompt: Way are We at War?
After reading the mailer I got to understand a lot of different aspects of war. But tell why does it exists? Mailer feels as if it comes because of terrorism. Yeah, that's true but why really is it going on. Why do other countries have that much hatred of another country to kill. Mailer suggest that we should look toward our selves for the answer.
I really don't keep up with the war and means of terrorism so my opinion really would be different from many. Maybe we have terrorism for many reasons. other countries are jealous, mad, and just don't' like the way we handle things. Maybe they are just trying to get back at something that happened in the past.
One thing I do know is the feeling an attack of terrorism have on one. When Mailer described how everyone was acting in the day of September 11, I cried in remembrance of the events. i can remember that day like it was yesterday. I was getting off of work and decided to look at television instead of going to sleep. When I turned the channel, I was shocked to be watching a plane go into the towers. Hearing about all the lost lives especially the kids, made me realize how life was important and how family was more than a six letter word. Even though I didn't know any of the victims it made me very sad.
This act of hatred had a big impact on why war exists.

Oh what a character
Prompt: The Alligator River Story
Actions speak louder than words. The things people say and do can tell you what kind of characteristic they have. After reading the Alligator Story, I realized that things like this happen for real. After reading I rated each character and no one in this story was a one. I realized everybody have different characteristic.
There were four characters in this story.
The one that gets two is Gregory. The reason for this rate is because he acted as a man would. Men want to know that their woman would do anything to get to them but they really don't want to know all the details even if they say they do. Even though he showed lack of respect. What did she expect. He was hurt and felt cheated. He felt mad, betrayed, and could not keep his composure. His actions still spoke good of him because he didn't hit her back after she jumped on him.
Ivan was her friend. I rated her a three. To me she really wasn't a friend. When Abigail came to her with her problem she was suppose to be their and give advice. Instead she did nothing. That told a lot about her character. She's laid back, don't get involved, stays to herself, and friendship really don't mean much to her.
Sinbad was the boat man. I rated him a four. He was a bad man but he was acting like a man. My opinion was that he manipulated the situation. The reason why I say this is because her knew how disparate she was. Overall his character is sly, manipulative, sneaky.
Lastly, Abigail's character really is a whopper. I rated her a five for many reasons. She is very impatience. She could not wait a couple of weeks or maybe the weekend to go across the river. She is weak minded because i know I wouldn't have sleep with this man to get over their. I give her a little credit for trying to be truthful but she still was stupid. This is when a good little white lie comes in play. She retaliate and she is violent. When she jumped on him it told that she has a temper. She was naive because she was still there in the morning waiting on the boat, not sure if it is coming back. She has some childish was because she was laughing at him because he didn't hit her back. So overall her character was the worst. You can tell a person you love them but when it comes down to it your actions towards that person decides that.
Character means the complex of mental and ethical traits marking a person or a group. With this been said this story was full of characters. All charcters can't be good but a lot are worst.

To Teach or Not to Teach
Everyone has their views on people being gay, but kids learn from everybody. Even though morally it's wrong and just nasty.
Morally
According to the bible and church; we are only suppose to be interesting in the opposite sex. they say when he made humans he made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. But with that being said, he also said not to be judgemental.
Socially
Having a gay relationship shouldn't stop your life. I know plenty of gay teachers and they have more passion for teaching then most straight teachers. Gay or not, your kids are going to learn. Kids learn from bus drivers store clerks, librarians, actors, neighbors, parents and family members. All those people could be gay and you decided not to let your kids be around them. As long as they have the qualifications and meet the criteria let them teach. Gay people are humans, also. They went to school got their education and studied hard to get to the point of their life. (to teach) Having a gay relationship shouldn't matter if they are allowing gays to adapt your children. You learn more at home than you do from school. Just trying to get you to thinking. So why discriminate because of their personal life. Now if we did that we would have to say no to the teachers who drink and smoke; those things are also wrong.
Political
The best way to say is a lie. You will never know a politician's true thoughts on the subject. To them that is a way to get more popularity. A politician tell you things you want to hear. Their views on gays teaching will be different depending on whether or not of its election year. A politician's personal life is different from his job. Trust, because if he had a family member that taught school and was gay, he wouldn't want them to house them job.
Just because a man or woman is gay doesn't mean they are not a good teacher. There are gay people everywhere. Some of them can have a good impression on kids.

Right or Wrong?
Prompt: Right or Wrong?
What a question. Every person would like to say they were a relativist but I know better. Right at this moment I'm trying to be a relativist but a couple of years back I was a absolutist. A relativist if you think about it is a person who was a absolutist that has changed their life. Either way you are one. To most, everyone to me would be a anti-relativist. We all have to change someday
Just a couple thoughts to get you to thinking
If you saw someone drop some money would you keep it or give it back?
when I asked my daughter the same question she laughed. After a minute she said she would give the money back.
Stealing Money is fun
kids steal from their parents everyday.
How about drinking and driving
Having an sister that drinks, that answer is easy. She goes to the club and parties and have fun. After having all the fun and drinks she wants, she then gets in her car and drive about 10 miles home.
Having an affair(cheating on your spouse)
When I asked my husband this question this is one of the answers he gave me. it made me think a little. He was right because a lot of people think they are the perfect person and they are cheating on their spouse.
Hit a car and run(accident)
Well I know this is wrong but lots of people do it.
Say yes to drugs
Drugs are out there and with drug dealers and people with low self esteem. they are going to say yes to drugs.
Stay out all night even when you know you have to go to work in the morning

My perception of life is happy children, no judgement, longer marriages, no war, free food, and no homeless people. My world would be free of the bad feelings and thoughts. Things would be much nicer and just like a fairy tale. Dreams do come true.

Kids shouldn't feel sadness. Kids should have both parents raising them. Kids should be able to walk around and play without being scared of any kind of violence. The children should be able to trust their parents even if there is no one else. kids are our future and we should treat them like they are special.
There shouldn't be any judgement. That's god job. We know when we are right and wrong. Same sex relations might not e right according to the bible, but who are we to judge. Let every man or woman do as they desire without judgement. Everyone has the right to happiness.
Lot's of people feel like bad things have to happen to make the world go around but what is wrong with it standing still for a minute.
The divorce rate has gradually increased over a ten year time. Couples get together before marriage and have problems and thing that marriage is going to change things. Everyone needs to communicate, listen and be more committed to each other. You should spend everyday together like it was your last time together. Making your companion feel loved and wanted really works and that would help the marriage life to increase instead of decrease.
I believe that there shouldn't be any wars. Soldiers are dieing for what reason, I really don't know. Each country should sign a peace contract and stick to it. There shouldn't be any hate crimes or tourist groups to make happy faces turn into sad faces. When the United States as a country say they are an Allie that should be for every country in the entire world.
Food, food can heal the soul. Where I'm from, soul food; such as collards, mac and cheese, turnips, and ham keep your soul happy. So if your soul is happy, you are happy. My favorite food s collard greens. Sometimes I think of them as money. If you have to much food, you become a static. Life is for the living and if you are happy with the way you are than stay happy.
Here in Macon, there are plenty of homeless people. The city of Macon has shelters but they charge per night. So lots of them are sleeping under bridges, at the parks and any where they can lie their head. I don't understand why charge someone who has no funds. Help them get on their feet.
